Whoa. Can't believe half a year has gone by since I last made a journal entry or posted anything here. Time passes so fast, it's kinda scary. I'll be twenty in under a month! How the hell did that happen? I always thought I'd be all, you know, mature and stuff by the time I was twenty. This is so very not the case.

I'm still not connected to the internet at home, but I'll try to get on dA more regularly now that school's out for the year and I'm not in Frantic End-of-Year Study Mode anymore. (Still gotta get a job though... sigh.) Haven't been very productive on the art front for a while though - my muse has run off to a desert island somewhere, where she's probably sipping rum cocktails on the beach and terrorizing the tourists.

Status updates? Well, I just completed a business administration certificate at Wellington Institute of Technology in the hopes that it would give me a better chance of getting an actual job. No success yet. Still trying. I'm going back to WelTec next year to do a Diploma in Health Psychology (that is, if I get accepted), and after that will probably continue with further study at university.

Serious real life stuff aside: I just saw the new Star Trek movie on DVD and it was FUCKING AWESOME. I may possibly have a new obsession. Also have a pile of half-read books on my desk at home, most of which are Giant Fantasy Novels of Doom. I go through phases with reading - for the last few months I've only been able to read non-fiction, then I randomly borrowed China Mieville's first novel King Rat and freaking LOVED it... then I had to go and read all his other books, naturally. If gritty urban fantasy and steampunk are your thing, I'd recommend checking him out.
